1. Data controller

The controller of the personal data processed through topteacherbooks.com is INA BRANDS OOD, company ID (EIK) 208143618, registered office: Maritsa Gardens residential complex, block 11, office 1, Severen district, 4003 Plovdiv, Bulgaria, email: support@topteacherbooks.com. This policy is prepared in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

2. What data we process

  • Order data: name and surname, phone, email, delivery address;
  • Payment data: information about the chosen payment method (we do not store card details — they are processed by the payment provider);
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, cookie data (see section 8);
  • Correspondence: the content of the messages you send us.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Processing and delivering orders — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR);
  • Accounting and tax records — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c));
  • Answering questions and complaints — contract and legitimate interest;
  • Marketing messages — only with your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time;
  • Analysing and improving the website — legitimate interest and/or consent to the relevant cookies.

4. Who we share data with

Data is shared only as far as necessary with: courier companies to deliver your order; payment service providers; Shopify Inc. as the provider of the online store platform; accounting and IT providers bound by confidentiality. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

5. Retention periods

Order data and related documents are kept for the periods required by accounting law (up to 10 years). Data processed on the basis of consent is kept until consent is withdrawn. Correspondence is kept for up to 2 years after the matter is closed.

6. Your rights

You have the right to: access your data; rectification; erasure (“right to be forgotten”); restriction of processing; data portability; object to processing based on legitimate interest; withdraw your consent at any time.

Send your requests to support@topteacherbooks.com. We will reply within one month. If you believe your rights have been infringed, you can lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country or with the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (www.cpdp.bg).

7. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data — an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS), restricted access and reliable infrastructure providers.

8. Cookies

The website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work (for example, the cart and checkout) and, with your consent, cookies for analytics and marketing. You can change your choice at any time in your browser settings or in the cookie banner.
